On the morning of May 15th at 9:00 am, the graduation thesis defense meeting of the 2022 Master's degree program in Civil Law at Southeast University Law School was held grandly in the conference room on the ninth floor of Yifu Architecture Hall in Sipailou Campus. The defense committee is chaired by Professor Liu Yong from the Law School of Nanjing University, and its members include Senior Partner Liu Xunfeng from Jiangsu Zhibang Law Firm, as well as Professors Shan Pingji, Xiao Bing, Chen Yuling, and Ren Danli from the Law School of Southeast University. Professor Liu Yifan from the Law School serves as the defense secretary.
The defense team strictly follows the requirements of normative documents such as the "Southeast University Law School Graduate Thesis Quality Management Measures" and the "Southeast University Law School Graduate Thesis Quality Guidance Group Work Measures", carefully prepares, and ensures that the defense work is carried out in a standardized and orderly manner. The purpose of this defense is to comprehensively examine the academic research achievements of the Master's students in the Civil Law Group, promote in-depth academic exchanges, and other Master's students from the college also attended and participated in this academic event together.
During the defense process, 9 master's students gave systematic and concise statements on the background of their thesis topics, research content, research methods and paths, key and difficult points, and main innovative points. The members of the defense committee put forward constructive revision suggestions from multiple dimensions such as literature review depth, structural logic optimization, and academic standardization based on the content of the students' papers and on-site reports. They also raised a series of in-depth exploratory questions regarding the core points of the papers.
The graduate students who participated in the defense, with their solid theoretical foundation and rigorous academic thinking, provided clear and well reasoned responses to expert questions, fully demonstrating the academic literacy and research potential that graduate students should possess. They stated that they will carefully consider the valuable opinions put forward by experts, further revise and improve the content of the paper, and enhance the academic value and practical significance of the research results.
After strict evaluation and unanimous resolution by the defense committee, it is recommended to award master's degrees to all 9 civil law group master's students. The entire defense process was rigorous and standardized, professional and in-depth, and had a harmonious atmosphere, successfully concluding with academic collisions and exchanges.
